What is DirectSend?

DirectSend mobile apps is a product of Xpresschoice Services Ltd., an incorporated Canadian Company registered with the Financial Transactions Report Analysis of Canada (FINTRAC) as a Money Services Business. Registration number: M15895051.

The Apps allows you to instantly SEND MONEY, BUY AIRTIME & INTERNET DATA in Ghana.

Once registered, customers can transfer funds to ALL Mobile Money Wallets, Bank Accounts and Buy Airtime from any smart phone or tablet 24/7.

How does it work?

  1. Download any of the Apps
  2. Sign-up
  3. Enter or select the phone number, bank, and airtime account of your recipient.
  4. Enter the amount you wish to transfer
  5. Pay for the transaction with your personal Visa or MasterCard Debit saved on the App

 Is there a Fee to Send Money and Buy Airtime?

No, there is no fee for ALL services on the DirectSend Apps at competitive FX rates.

Which Countries can I send money from/to?

You can send money from all provinces in Canada except Quebec. Xpresschoice does not have an operating license for the province of Quebec in Canada as well as countries outside of Canada.

Currently, you can Send money to ONLY Ghana.

Airtime – Which countries can I buy from?

You can Buy Airtime or internet data in Ghana from ANYWHERE in the world!

How do I know my money is safe?

Yes, your money is safe. We are licensed in Canada as a money services business with the Financial Transactions Report Analysis of Canada (FINTRAC). In addition, your money is NOT held in our bank accounts but moved instantly to your recipient’s mobile wallet or bank account. There is also instant crediting of your recipient(s) Airtime account.

Is my personal information safe?

We are committed to securing your personal and financial information and employ proven technology to protect and secure your data. We encode all data as soon as it is entered in the App and send it over an encrypted 128-bit connection.

How do I know funds has been delivered?

We will send you an email and update the transaction state on the transactions page of the App to ‘Funds Delivered’. If a transaction requires review for regulatory reasons, we will contact you immediately.

What is the MAXIMUM amount that I can send, buy or pay for?

Due to banking regulations, you can send a maximum of C$999 per day (24-hour period) and C$2,999 per month for ALL services.

What is the MINIMUM amount that I can send?

There is a minimum of C$20 for transfers to mobile wallet and C$50 to bank accounts.

There is a C$5 minimum amount for Airtime and Internet data.

How do I add my debit card?

Go to the Send or Payments page of the App. Click on “Visa/Master Card”, select “New Debit Card” ‘then input and save your new card information – you’re now set!

Why am I not receiving the “random” debit amount during debit card addition?

This happens because your bank may be mistaking your transfer as coming from someone else other than yourself and may be blocking the transaction. This is a precautionary measure taken by the banks. Call your bank and ask them to allow transactions from DirectSend.

What does ‘Card Error’ mean?

This often indicates that you do not have good internet service to save your card, or the app needs to be upgraded to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play.

Can I cancel a transaction/get a refund?

If the funds you have transferred is yet to be delivered to your beneficiary’s mobile Wallet or bank or Airtime account, you can contact us to get a refund for your transaction. Once the status of the transaction changes to ‘Funds Delivered,’ the funds have been delivered and no refund is possible.

If due to technical difficulty, which results in our inability to deliver the funds to your recipient(s), we shall refund the full transaction amount and fees to your debit card within 2 to 7 business days.

Why am I unable to save a new bank number?

Reason: The bank or account number may be wrong, or the account may be inactive or dormant. Contact your recipient for the correct bank account number or reactivate the account.
